Our Story

E-YES didn’t start with a product.
It started with a shift in perspective.

For over 25 years, I worked as a software engineer — building systems, solving problems, living behind a screen.

Then COVID changed everything.

From Office to the Mines

During that time, I was developing software that helped recruit, mobilise and train workers in the Western Australian mining industry.

Through that, I had the opportunity to help three of my children step into the mines as scaffolders.

It was a great opportunity for them.

But as a father — it came with a different feeling.

The Turning Point

I was proud.
But I was also worried.

I had just placed my own kids into one of the toughest working environments in the country.

And that didn’t sit right with me.

Why I Changed Path

So I made a decision.

I qualified as a safety advisor — not for a career change, but for one reason:

To look after my kids.

Living It

I worked alongside them on site for three years.
Watching over them. Supporting them. Making sure they were safe.

And in that time, something changed.

I stopped seeing work as the most important part of life —
and started seeing it for what it really is.

Family Into Purpose

I trained each of my children to become safety advisors.

Then their mother joined us too.

Today, we’re a family working together in safety — helping protect others across the country.

Our Impact

We now train safety advisors across Australia.

Helping others look after their people — just like I wanted to look after mine.
